Ballet is such a wonderful art form, the amount of strength and discipline is important as a ballet dancer! They brought Kansas City a good atmosphere for a ballet dancer in 1957 under the direction of Mr. William Whitener and the Executive Director Mr. Jeffrey Betley. Kansas City Ballet or (KCB) performs three mixed repertory seasons per year. The Company reaches over 15,000 students and adults each year through community education programs. They also provide dance training all over Kansas City.
In 2011 they opened a new home for ballet dancers, "KCB Todd Bolender Center for Dance & Creativity their new stage at Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts. KCB offers excellence in dance training and community education for all ages. They also promote the ROAD or Reach Out And Dance 24 week school residency program taught by professional ballet dancers with live piano accompaniment. |

Exhilarating moments, when the ballerina fills the stage swinging and skimming with angled arms framing their heads and toes Ballet North was the first Ballet Company and School in Northland, originally known as Laura Luzicka Classical Ballet in 1977. North Ballet started in 1994 under the Direction of Ms. Laura Luzicka Reinschimidt. They have three missions. The first is to provide arts education and mentoring to all students. The second is to produce high value of arts and live performances to the public school and the third is to perform rarely seen full length ballets, new works for classical and modern ballet to general audiences.
This year dance camp is open to all ages including classical ballet and point work plus choreography study, choreography presentation, pantomime, nutrition and injury prevention.
