Missouri Ballet Theatre has brought first class dance to the community with performances of a Midsummer Night's Dream, Cinderella, New Beginning and Concepts 1 to 3. They hold educational performances for over 2,000 people, their efforts are educating young audiences to love dance and the art of dancing in general. Kansas City Ballet or (KCB) performs three mixed repertory seasons per year. The Company reaches over 15,000 students and adults each year through community education programs. In 2011 they opened a new home for ballet dancers, "KCB Todd Bolender Center for Dance & Creativity their new stage at Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts. KCB offers excellence in dance training and community education for all ages. They also promote the ROAD or Reach Out And Dance 24 week school residency program taught by professional ballet dancers with live piano accompaniment.

Ballet North was the first Ballet Company and School in Northland, originally known as Laura Luzicka Classical Ballet in 1977. North Ballet started in 1994 under the Direction of Ms. Laura Luzicka Reinschimidt. They have three missions. The first is to provide arts education and mentoring to all students. The second is to produce high value of arts and live performances to the public school and the third is to perform rarely seen full length ballets, new works for classical and modern ballet to general audiences.

This year dance camp is open to all ages including classical ballet and point work plus choreography study, choreography presentation, pantomime, nutrition and injury prevention. Missouri Contemporary Ballet (MCB) creates exciting and enchanting hip entertainment for making an experience to a live dance an artful, graceful and joyful moment for all ages. MCB is one of the professional dance companies committed to creating dance through the art of contemporary ballet. New choreographers are given an opportunity to set new work in the MCB company dancers in a professional atmosphere. Springfield Ballet was founded in 1976, it's a non-profit-organization dedicated to the advanced art of ballet through the premiere education, performance, outreach and collaboration. Their classes aren't recital driven, all classroom time is spent on dance instruction. Opportunities are offered each semester and all performances take place the Historic Lander's Theater. Springfield Ballet also brought two pre-professional productions to the Ozark's each year, enhancing by professional guest artists. Alexandra Zaharias was the first Astral Foundation Choreographer awarded from the National Association for Regional Ballet. Experience the "impossible" things. It's a way to develop your center of balance and give you stamina control and confidence needed to perform beautifully and gracefully on stage. Alexandra Ballet is a strongly recommended ballet for any ages of any fitness level. It's a way to work your entire body like your legs, arms, back, core, head, and toes.

Their goal has been to develop a sound technique and cultivate an appreciation of dance in every student, for a professional career or cultural enrichment and enjoyment of ballet. They teach some techniques in order to produce strength, flexibility, and some styles necessary to pursue a career in ballet dance.

Ballet Conservatory of Independence is owned by Ms. Ulla Maija Halonen, her passion is to dance ballet. She's well-trained from the Finnish Opera Ballet in Finland. She expects students to learn and discover a new joy of dancing. They train students not only ballet but also they instill them with principals of morality and character development. They give potential to their students and help them to discover for themselves. They offer other types of dancing such as modern, contemporary, jazz, folk dance, ballroom, musical dance, theater and tumbling.

These classes are offered to developed students and help gain more flexibility and strength as well as learning different styles of dancing. They also encourage some students to take advantage of other types of dance offered at the Ballet Conservatory because it's the best way to gain a strong foundation of dance. They require each student to take other types of dance to enhance their ability in performance and skills.

Petra Company started in January 2008, with five contracted company members. Their Company is involved in the arts community within the town and also touring nationally. The company offers daily classes, rehearsal in preparation for performances, master classes and workshops.

Company members and dancers are professionally well-trained and desire to use their gift of dance to give glory to the audience. They also offer a strong background of classical ballet techniques, contemporary flare as well as use all forms of dance performance.
